ASSISTANT MANAGER - Hobsonville
ABOUT OUR ROLE
We're looking for a passionate person - who lives our values of being friendly, curious, responsive and knowledgeable - to help nourish our Hobsonville Store.
The Assistant Store Manager works with the Store Manager to ensure the store is run efficiently and effectively. You'll be offering advice and education for pet owners, to help their dogs and cats eat their way to better health, through a consistent level of outstanding service.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a full time role working 5 days (approx. 38 hours) Tuesday to Saturday. You will be responsible for assisting with all store operations including staff management, stock control, client case management, along with the day-to-day running of a retail operation. This is an excellent opportunity to build your career, with full support, as we grow and develop our business.
Our stores get regular, frozen deliveries, so you'll need to be strong, active and willing to get 'stuck in', in order to unpack deliveries and keep the freezers fully stocked.
ABOUT YOU
You will have an active interest in raw feeding for cats and dogs, and a passion to engage with people. Full training in all aspects of raw feeding for cats and dogs will be provided.
Our ideal candidate will:
- Have an excellent customer service focus and strong work ethic, with a proven track record in the retail sector
- Be a strong effective communicator with good interpersonal and leadership skills
- Be passionate about natural animal health & well being
- Have background knowledge/personal experience of raw feeding cats/dogs, or a strong interest in raw feeding
- Have no issues with lifting heavy boxes (up to 20kgs) of stock
- Have a veterinary or other animal related qualification (not essential)
