15kg Dog

AMOUNT TO FEED

The amount to feed in this sample plan is based on adult maintenance requirements at 2% of their body weight. If your dog is more active or is a growing puppy please contact us as their requirements will differ.

A 15kg dog requires approximately 300g per day, or 2.1kg over a week.

AVERAGE COST

Average costs are dependent on the proteins you choose to feed your dog - this is based on products for a dog with no health issues (and not requiring specific proteins). If your pet has any health concerns, please get in touch with us first as our suggested products may not be suitable.

The average cost for a 15kg dog is $3 - $4 a day, or, $21 - $28 per week. As a guide, our 4 week Wildly Good Meal Pack for a 15kg dog, works out to be $3.75 per day or $26.25 per week.

IDEAL PRODUCTS

Packs - these make feeding your dog simple with a month long pack with a variety of minces, bones and tripe.

Mixes - these will form the majority of your dogs food

Bones - you could feed a bone every second day

Green Tripe - always make sure you feed tripe with bones

Organs - these are great to add in for variety

THINGS TO KNOW

  • Feed a variety of meat, bone, organs and green tripe.
  • Aim to feed bones at least every second day and always feed green tripe with the bone (the amount of green tripe should be about a third of the bone's size).
  • Appropriate bone size is really important - see our Bone Feeding Guide for more information.
  • Feeding variety is important. Don't be afraid to mix things up. We recommend feeding at least 3 different prey sources over a weekly period.
  • Wild proteins are great to add as they are nutrient dense, sustainable, and their organs are included in most of our minces and bones.
  • Only feed a small amount of organs as they are nutrient dense and rich.
  • Dogs can have fish up to 3 times a week. Pilchards, salmon and tinned sardines (in spring water) are great options.
